Sadie Sue Saint Wins Our Super Bowl 53 Show Your Spirit Contest

Gladdy’s Goodies held a contest for Super Bowl 53 that asked our followers on social media to submit a picture of their pet representing their favorite football team. The winner would be chosen at the half time show of Super Bowl 53.

We got some amazing responses and the judges picked one pup in particular, she wore a New Orleans Saint’s jersey and her name is Sadie Sue Saint. Here is the official photo and entry!

It’s easy to see why the judges chose Sadie Sue Saint as the winner, she’s absolutely adorable. The judges didn’t make a decision based on the team, simply the adorable factor of the dog in their team’s colors!

This story has a cool spin, something we learned after the contest had ended. There is a fun reason why Sadie sports the colors of New Orleans, her mom Savannah Shields is a Saintsation Cheerleader and has been for 3 years.

Every Sunday when the New Orleans Saints are home, you can see her mom root for the legendary Super Bowl champion QB Drew Brees and the Saints take on opponents and lead the team to victory at the Mercedes Super Dome.

We all know what happened to the Saints during the NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams. The Saints were eliminated by the Rams in what most people call one of the most flagrant no calls in the history of the sport. Most Saints fans boycotted the Super Bowl because of the no-call. That call or lack there of, did have a profound impact on the outcome of the game.

We don’t know what will happen to the rules next year but we know the Saints were robbed, so having a Saint fan win this is extra special.

We’re so excited for Sadie and her mom Savannah for winning and we hope Sadie enjoys the treats.

This will be an every year tradition so get your dog in their favorite teams gear and get ready for next year!

Contest Rules: No purchase necessary. All winners must be over the age of 18 and live within the United States or United States territories. To enter participant must submit a photo either on Instagram, Twitter or the Facebook profile of Gladdy’s Goodies or tag the photo #gladdiesgoodiessb53. All entries must be submitted no later than the 2 minute warning of the Super Bowl. Winner will drawn at half time. The participant who won will be contacted via the social media platform they used to submit privately their shipping information. If no shipping information is given within 14 days of the contest completion a new winner will be chosen.
